On June 4th, 2009, we played with peonies courtesy of Olivier Guigni of L'Olivier Floral Atelier. The colors were nothing less than astonishing as each student picked among the fuschia, pale pink and cream flowers and created a pave (or a brick shaped arrangement) in a glass container lined with leaves. Olivier always brings drama to his classes as well as a touch of whimsey -- that touch can be seen in the grasses that were added to some of the arrangements.
